PKG Linker v1.0 Scan & Serve PKGs to PS3 from PC (CFW & PS3Xploit HAN)

$
0
0
Here is our PKG Linker app to serve packages from PC to your PS3

his mod adds a feature to your XMB that serves pkgs from your PC directly to your PS3, no need to transfer them to a Storage media device and connect via USB with this trick. This project is just the start of some to some of the work the duo has been tinkering with, they have also been working on a HAN Toolbox (also an XMB MOD), right now that homebrew is still considered a PoC, but you can test it out here, a polished released the devs have told me should be in store soon when v0.3 drops and that will be considered the first stable version that graduates the PoC-Beta Stages.

PKG Linker v1.0

What does it do?
  • Scans the program folder for pkg's, extracts the icons & creates a package_link.xml.
  • Creates a pkg with a package_link.xml to remove the need for putting a new xml on the usb.
  • Patches category_game.xml to look for package_link.xml & add pkg folders in package manager.
  • Comes with a portable Apache HTTPD server and sets it up to host your pkg's.
  • One click mode to scan, create the files & start the server.
  • Manual mode scans the folder, lets you select the pkg's you want, export the files, patch category_game.xml & start/stop the server.

Windows 10 users!
via @DeViL303: If you are on Windows 10 then you might need to do this as it has a service that uses port 80:

  • Go to Start, type in services.msc
  • Scroll down in the Services window to find the World Wide Web Publishing Service.
  • Right click on it and select Stop.
Thanks @kozarovv for the tip.

Troubleshooting and info by @DeViL303
As its the first version there may be bugs so use at your own risk, we need feedback from the community.

While what it does is complicated, Usage is simple, watch the video and if you have any questions ask away
If you are having issues, please check your server is working by entering a pkg link from package_link.xml into your PS3 web browser.

Some things to note:

If you have a wifi adaptor AND lan enabled at the same time the app or the apache/xampp could pick up the wrong IP.

Error meanings:

  • 404 error means a server is running on correct IP, but maybe link is bad, file not exist, or win 10 users have to stop a service using port 80, try change port using below instructions.
  • 400 error means server is running, can be a port issue, port used by other app etc. try change port
  • 80029567 Means HAN Enabler not ran, debug installer ran by mistake, or pkg not signed or corrupt.
  • 80710092 Server error, If I shut down my server I get this error.
  • 8071053D Unknown, possibly port problem, connection refused etc

If you want to use another server like XAMPP:

  • Install xampp, run it, click the top start button for apache, (make sure no other webservers are running on same port first)
  • Put packages and pkg linker exe into the c:\xampp\htdocs folder
  • Run pkg linker, say no to using built in webserver.
  • Go to PS3 and run HAN Enabler and then try refresh list
  • If it downloads the new Package_list.pkg then Reboot , run HAN Enabler again and try install a pkg
  • Best if you do this with pkgs that you 100% know work via USB, for testing.

Connection / Download Speeds / Errors during download after it has started

You are better off connecting cable directly or at least running wired through router. Wifi will not work great, if connecting directly you will have no DHCP for giving out IPs, so you will need to do this:
  • enter manual IPs on both devices, can be anything but must be in same range
  • so for example fake gateway ip for both = 192.168.0.1, PS3 = 192.168.0.2 and PC = 192.168.0.3
  • make subnet mask the same for both = 255.255.255.0
  • Rescan with app and then Install Package_List.pkg again manually via USB after any port or IP change on the server.

Then run webserver on the pc, and you should get almost 1GB per minute download speeds, and no errors during download.

Changing Port in App

  • From the app folder go to bin\ApacheHTTPD_PHP_Portable\Data\conf then open httpd.conf with notepad++.
  • Now go to line 52 it should read "Listen 80"
  • change it to "Listen 8080" or some other unused port and save.
  • next open open PKG Linker and in the ip box after your ip put :8080 (should look something like this 192.168.1.12:8080 ).
  • Now under file click "save list pkg and xml" and start the server.
  • You will need to rescan with the app and then manually install the Package_List.pkg via USB the first time after you make changes like this, port, IP, path etc.

PS3 HAN Toolbox (v0.3) - A very functional XMB MOD for PS3Xploit HAN

$

0
(by Devil303 / Pink1)

Version 0.3 of HAN Toolbox has now been released by developer's @DeViL303 & @pink1 (whom also released PKG Linker recently as well) leaving the BETA tag behind and now this is considered the first STABLE release. HAN Toolbox is a XMB Modification for PS3Xploit HAN ( the unofficial companion) and provides some extra features like the XMB File Explorer to name one of several features, Checkout all the details provided by the developer's for this XMB Mod for PS3Xploit HAN user's.

Thanks to Team PS3Xploit we have got lots more features at our disposal and we also added some of our own to the toolbox this time around.

New features in this version
  •     Soft Reboot added
  •     Hard Reboot added
  •     Shutdown Added
  •     File Explorer Added (browse and delete (unlink) files)
  •     New auto running links for all Xploit options (no buttons to push)
  •     Moved all Xploits except "HAN Enabler" into sub categories
  •     Submenu added for DEX Firmware Xploits (NOT for Normal HAN users)
  •     Original manual start Xploits still available under legacy menu
  •     Built in Toolbox Updater (Update from the XMB in future)

Features from v 0.1
  1.     HAN Installer
  2.     HAN Enabler
  3.     License Dumper
  4.     License Injector
  5.     Debug Package Enabler
  6.     Support Forum
  7.     Install Packages From Webserver (PKG Linker Required)
Important Note:
  • It doesn't matter which order you do this in, but you should run HAN Installer again with freshly downloaded han support files to add support for Toolbox v0.3 either before or after installing the pkg, after installing the pkg you can go to Game Data Utility and delete the v0.2 data. If you don't do this things, v0.3 will not show, and you will still have 0.2 showing. Its ok if you have v0.2 and v0.3 showing at the same time, just delete v0.2 Game Data and reboot to clear it.

We are now removing the "beta/poc/wip" tags for v0.3 of the Toolbox. Still lots of work to do before a v1.0 release though.

Auto Running Xploits
  • Now the main HAN Enabler button will link up to the official page for the Auto running version of the Xploit, So its a quicker process. The original versions of the Xploits with webpages are still accessible through a subcategory along with Auto running versions of all. Also added is a File Explorer feature feature that allows the PS3 file system to be browsed to check if files exist, and you can also delete files of folder by pressing the triangle button and selecting Unlink/Unlink Folder, Use the delete function carefully and don't delete important files or else you might need to reinstall FW or format HDD.

Future Toolbox Updates
  • Also you will no longer need to update HAN Toolbox via pkg anymore after installing this update, when the next updates comes out you will be update it fron the XMB just like a game.See the new setting item inside the HAN Toolbox.

Important Bug Fix Release for 4.82 by Evilnat

Developer Evilnat creator of various PS3 Homebrew & Tools has released version 6.0.7 of SEN Enabler and has fully addressed the issues with 4.82 and v6.0.6 with squashing the bugs that caused some setups various issues. The developer has great symphony for those affected and goes in detail on what the issues were and who they affected. All issues have been identified and fixed in this latest version and the dev has added new checks to help prevent these errors from occurring with various Cobra CFW's that were affected. View all the details from Evilnat in the details provided below

Improvements v6.0.7

+ SEN Enabler
  •     Updated Cobra data
  •     Cobra version is now showed in PS3 Info
  •     Cobra support for DEX CFW (4.50/4.65)
  •     Cobra support for CFW Overflow/Spy
  •     Fixed Cobra stage2 for 4.76/4.78/4.81 Rebug/4.82 Rebug
  •     Fixed MAC patch on newer Firmwares
  •     Real MAC/SPOOFED is now showed in PS3 Info
  •     Fixed XMB Modes on CFWs 4.82
  •     Fixed memory issue with webMAN MOD on CEX
  •     Improved code

+ Plugin
  •     Updated to v3.0
  •     Fixed MAC patch on newer Firmwares
  •     Plugin now uses *.TXT patch files instead default *.BIN
  •     Improved code

    https://nsx.sec.np.dl.playstation.net:443
    http://xmb-e.dl.playstation.net

This new version has some changes and fixes:
  • Issues with Cobra on 4.82: Some issues with Cobra was fixed but one was important on any CFW 4.82 Cobra causing black screen, here is my explication:
Evilnat said:

The issue was on SEN Enabler's stage2 hash patch only on 4.82 CFW with Cobra (Ferrox/Spy/Overflow...), hash build fails randomly and can't store it on stage2 causing black screen while stage2 is loading

That black screen will not allow to load XMB/Recovery Menu, the only fix are the following:

NOR: Delete PS3's entire HDD on PC, this will delete stage2.bin, turn on the PS3 and it will ask to install version and format the HDD
NAND: You will need a hardware flasher, downgrade/reinstall to other CFW NOT Cobra avoiding stage2 start

I apologize to all who have suffered this issue, all SEN Enabler version are tested many times before being released and i never saw blackscreen issue on 4.82 in my tests, i tried again v6.0.6 on my friend's NOR PS3 and failed at 6th try. Really, i'm so sorry

Issues with MAC spoof: Spoofing MAC function did not work in some newer PS3 FW, now works fine in all FW version. Now SEN Enabler's PS3 info window will show original and spoofed MAC

SEN Plugin Patch Files: SEN Plugin used [*.BIN] patch files, now uses default SEN Enabler [*.TXT] files, there is no need to use *.BIN, you can patch with your current IDs on ConsoleID.txt, PSID.txt and MAC.txt, but only on USB device for SEN Plugin.

Support for CEX/DEX CFW Cobra: I fixed issues on Cobra DEX for 4.50 and 4.65, many will remember that i disabled support for those version because caused black screen like 4.82.Atm for DEX, Cobra support is added for 4.50, 4.65 and all D-REX Rebug, i don't know if there are more Cobra version for DEX (searched and didn't found) but if you try to Enable-Disable SEN/Custom Spoof/Restore Spoof/9.99 Spoof without Cobra support the next message will appear

If you see that message your current CFW needs Cobra support, you can try to send me a screenshot of this message or only yellow text string to my Twitter and i will check it out.

Why i am doing this? This is a security measure, if some CFW doesn't have Cobra support, would have possibilities to give black screen, because if vsh is modified its hash can change too (sometimes it's the same), and i need to test the new hash with all CFW functions. Only supported CEX/DEX Cobra version and fully tested will be added to SEN Enabler

Adds PS2 CONFIG Support

Developer Aldostools has updated one of his popular utilities to be better suited for PS3Xploit HAN (& CFW) user's, PS2 Classic GUI has been updated to version 2.1 and this update provides support for PS2 CONFIG files. The config's improves the game compatibility of the Ps2 emulator allowing for additional PlayStation 2 games to be played. So, this is a great update to make adding those config that much easier, thanks to the work in @Zar ManaGunZ (PS3 Homebrew) we have a database of PS2 Config Database already, that Aldostools has included in this download and the tool will easily be able to add available CONFIG for your PS2 Games.

New build of PS2 Classics GUI 2.1 to add the CONFIG.

To make a PKG, simply select the ISO.BIN.ENC and the optional CONFIG file from the CONFIGS folder (included in the rar).
The tool will auto-encrypt the CONFIG file and include it in the PKG next to ISO.BIN.ENC.
If the game doesn't require a CONFIG, just cancel the dialog and the PKG will be made without it.

The new PKG Linker is here, we both put a lot of time and effort into this, so we hope you get many hours of happy use out of it.

Within a few days of the release @DeViL303 and I (pink1) started working on an update for PKG Linker v1. After seeing all of the server problems in v1 we built v2 around a Modular copy of Uniform Server. The project has been completely rebuilt, with new features including:

New Features :

  •     Complete GUI overhaul
  •     Better error handling for corrupt pkgs
  •     Saveable settings
  •     Server control and better server error handling
  •     Better IP/adaptor detection
  •     Better port control, now settings controls app and server
  •     Minimise to tray
  •     Tray notifications for important actions
  •     Tray controls while app is minimized
  •     PS3 side server controls via new server setup item on the XMB.
  •     Now detects package signing type and lists it in the app and on the XMB
  •     Ping Tool for checking PS3 is reachable in direct connection situations
  •     PS3Xploit Resigner Tool - all packages in unsigned folder can be signed with one click
  •     Warnings when packages in folder have changed but pkg list not updated.
  •     Warning when port has been changed but server not restarted.
  •     Auto list generation when its required, like after saving new settings.
  •     Theme settings, colors, Light/Dark.
  •     Help section with trouble shooting for connection problems

What is PKG Linker?

PKG Linker is a PC application that is used to serve packages to CFW/HAN enabled PS3s, it utilizes a webserver to fool the PS3 into thinking it is downloading the package from Sony servers.
Using this method to install a package, gets around the 4GB maximum filesize limitations of fat32, normally faced when using external storage devices.

With PKG Linker there is no limit. With a wired network its quick too, I have transferred a 15GB package in under 20 minutes. It should work over wifi, but that same 15GB package could take 10 hours or more.

Download From Here

Trouble shooting

If you have a multiple network adaptors enabled at the same time this app could pick up the wrong IP. This can happen with VPNs or virtual adaptors too.

Please check that the app is showing your PCs correct IP address. If its not showing your IP address then type it in or select it from the dropdown menu, rescan or save settings, then reinstall the Package_List.pkg via USB. To find out your current IP address open a Command prompt window and type "ipconfig", if multiple IPs are listed try them all one by one if you are not sure which IP is correct.

Note: Every time the port or IP address is changed in this app you must install a freshly made Package_List.pkg via USB and then reboot the PS3. This is important, if you dont do this the PS3 is still looking to the old IP address or port for both the Package_List.pkg, and all the other packages.

If you are having problems, after any network changes you can try the Ping tool in PKG Linker settings to see if the PS3 is reachable, just enter your PS3s IP which can be got from: PS3 Network settings > Settings and Connection Staus List > IP Address .

Related PS3 Errors

Any errors not on this list are most likely not related to this app and are a problem with your pkgs.

  • 404 Error means a server is running on correct IP but the file can not be found, bad link. File moved
  • 400 Error means server is running, can be a port issue, port conflict maybe. Try change port.
  • 80029567 Signing check failed, HAN Enabler not ran or debug installer ran by mistake or pkg not resigned.
  • 80029564 Signing check failed, On CFW trying to install a pkg signed for HAN.
  • 80023324 Wifi connection issues, or just bad connection, use a cable, see bottom.
  • 8071053D Blocked, check port settings, check firewalls etc.
  • 80710092 Host not reachable is a common error and can be anything so its a hard error to trace.

Possible reason for 80710092

  • IPs configured wrong.
  • Windows firewall.
  • Other firewall or AntiVirus.
  • Cable problem.
  • Port blocked on server.
  • Port conflict on server.
  • Missing dll on system.
  • Package_List.pkg not installed by usb since server settings changed.
  • PS3 not rebooted since new Package_List.pkg installed.

Things to try:

  • Disable firewalls, inc windows firewall, defender, avast shield etc.
  • Make sure the pkg linker app says your PCs current IP, it may have picked up wrong IP.
  • See if you can access server via ps3 web browser.
  • Install fresh package list via usb everytime you change settings.
  • Always reboot ps3 to see changes on XMB after loading a new list.
  • Try changing ports.
  • Try run other servers, see below for xampp instructions.
  • Read the entire pkg linker 2.0 thread and try other peoples solutions.
  • Google how to set up a web server and try learn about it.

Instruction for using another server like xampp

  • Make sure no other webservers are running first.
  • Install XAMPP, run it, click the top start button for apache.
  • Put packages and the PKG Linker exe into the c:\xampp\htdocs folder.
  • Run PKG Linker, dont start the built in server.
  • Go to PS3 and run HAN Enabler and then try refresh list.
  • If it downloads the new Package_List.pkg then Reboot.
  • Run HAN Enabler again and try install a pkg.
  • While testing its best if you do this with pkgs that you 100% know work via USB.

Connection speed issues and error 80023324

You are better off running a wired connection for the best transfer speeds. The PS3's Wifi is very slow and is known for dropouts during large transfers. With a wired setup you can get almost 1GB per minute transfer speeds. You can connect via a router or directly with one cable going from PS3 to PC.

Note that if connecting directly without a router you will have no DHCP for giving out IP addresses.

So you will need to do this to achieve a connection:
  • Enter manual IP addresses on both devices, see below for an example if you don't know how.
  • Set the PC to 192.168.0.2
  • Set the PS3 to 192.168.0.3
  • Set the gateway on both PC and PS3 to 192.168.0.1
  • Set the subnet mask the same for both to 255.255.255.0
  • Set the DNS on both to be 8.8.8.8
  • Do not bother testing the connection on PS3, it will fail, skip the test.
  • Then make sure this app says 192.168.0.2 for the IP.(or whatever your PCs IP is set to)
  • Rescan with this app and then Install Package_List.pkg again manually via USB, then reboot.
  • Then run the webserver and you should have no 80023324 errors and fast speeds

PS3Xploit v3 Debug Settings Installer + Debug/XMB Swappers

Developer esc0rtd3w has unveiled the latest progression from the PS3Xploit Team in the form of an experimental Tool (Debug Settings Installer + Debug/XMB Swappers) for PS3Xploit v3 HAN user's (tools compatible with CFW also), with the release of REBUG REX that means a 4.82 DEX Firmware is out in the wild and that means with 4.82 DEX files, PS3 HAN user's will not have some added features and was one of the reasons why developer HABIB was suggesting user's stay on 4.81 for use of these DEX features as the status was unknown if a public 4.82 DEX would emerge, but with REBUG REX CFW release, the various files for swapping can be done, but devs will lend more details about that throughout this thread.

This tool is released for experimentation purposes only, it is not meant to be installed by every HAN user!

DO NOT TRY SIGNING INTO PSN WHILE DEX ENABLED, YOU CAN/WILL GET BANNED!

CHANGE YOUR NP ENVIRONMENT (thanks @Joonie) to invalid or anything else and reboot to block PSN access.

This is a set of 3 tools for installing and swapping Debug Settings Files in flash

DEX XML Files Have Support For PS3Xploit/HAN Toolbox XML Menus

NOTE : Once Installed, You Have A DEX Hybrid and Must Choose DEX Checkbox To Use Exploits or Will Freeze! Restoring Is Simple, Just Replace Files With CEX For Your FW Version!

WARNING!
This has the potential to corrupt your system and require you to install OFW (Original Firmware) if not used correctly!

Exploit Page(s):

SUPPORTS OFW and CFW
HAN "DOES NOT" Need Enabled For This!
UPDATE (2018-04-11): ALL HAN TOOLS HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO SUPPORT 4.82 DEX!

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

How To Use:
  • Download Debug Settings Installer ZIP archive
  • Extract the files
Main Installation:
  • Place all files matching your FW version and desired target [CEX/DEX] on USB flash drive or select one of the internal HDD options**
  • Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
Change Debug Settings Menu To CEX/DEX:
  • Place sysconf_plugin.sprx matching your FW version and desired target [CEX/DEX] on USB flash drive or select one of the internal HDD options**
  • Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver

Run the exploit from page and allow console to reboot fully
Done! New Debug Settings/XMB Menu will take effect after reboot

- You can also create a package that holds resources or files to copy using Extra Tools and use this instead of USB as source. Default directories are /dev_hdd0/game/PS3XPLOIT/extras/ and /dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX/files/

New Release adds new Debug Setting Toggler, Theme Downloader & more

it was due for the Unofficial Companion for PS3Xploit to be updated, The XMB MOD dubbed the HAN Toolbox has been upgraded to version 0.5 by the developer's behind the XMB MOD for PS3 HAN (Ps3Xploit v3), This update provides a variety of new features the toolbox now is supporting Debug Settings with a new Toggler, Theme and Wallpaper Downloads have also been added, Of course can't go without mentioning some of the new eye-candy that is present with update as New eye-catching Icons for the XMB Menus, along with re-arranging of various menu's to better accommodate the new features under the hood of this supercharged XMB MOD. As the PS3Xploit Team keeps progressing and evolving its great to see other contributors create other great projects like this Unofficial Companion

New Features:
  • Self injector added
  • Cert remover added
  • Demo Downloader updated with demos from all regions
  • Theme Downloader added
  • Wallpaper Downloader added
  • Menus rearranged
  • Debug Settings Toggler added
  • DEX Xploit links added (Auto switching, see below)
  • New icons

External Content Downloaders

- For the downloaders, There is an initial setup to be done, this involves going to Toolbox Settings and Downloading a resource pkg, its quite simple, download the pkg then reboot. If you don't want to use the content downloaders then you don't need to do this step.
- @ShaolinAssassin Has done some amazing work adding the other regions demos to Demo Downloader, This is really excellent because it was not something I planned to get back to for a long time if ever tbh.
- @pink1 Helped me rewrite the original XMBPD theme downloader from scratch and in a much better way, now all themes have icons which is something I wanted to do for a long time, theme type and size are displayed on the XMB too, and we also increased the available theme count to over 1001.
- Wallpaper downloader: When downloading a wallpaper, when the image loads up in the browser, press triangle, go to File>Save Image>System Storage, then you can go to the photo category to set it as a wallpaper.

Note: If you browse thousands of items in one session you will get missing icons, a reboot solves it.

Debug Settings Toggler

- Options to download CEX and DEX settings files to HDD, and then options to inject which ever files you have downloaded, if you don't already know how to use Debug Settings DO NOT use this item.

Auto Switching to DEX Xploit links

- If you use the new Debug settings Xploit from Team PS3 Xploit, and you want to have your Xploit links in the Toolbox auto switch to DEX http links when on DEX XMB, then inject this category_game_tool2.xml = DOWNLOAD , if you don't understand what is meant by this, don't use this feature.

Use at your own risk. This Mod/App was not made by Team PS3Xploit, so if you have issues with it please don't annoy them. This is an XMB mod made independently but it does use lots of Team PS3Xploits work.

WoW the PS4 Scene is exploding with alot of hard work from many developer's coming together in the scene. the other day TeamOrbis unveiled a preview of Mira Project (CFW Abilities w/ MiraCFW) for the PS4, now the team has made available a Beta version for Developer's. I would caution installing this if your are worried about a potential errors as this is not quite ready for mass adoption yet and missing some aspects that will appear in later releases. The team just recently published a roadmap (seen below) for the upcoming releases and what those updates will provide, lets be honest here its looks very exciting and promising as these developer's are really coming together for some amazing progress on the PS4.

The Mira Project

The Mira Project is a set of tools that grants you more power and control over your jailbroken Playstation 4. It is the result of all the hard work by the OpenOrbis team. It works differently to the custom firmware experience on Playstation 3, where CFW would be installed on the system via modified PUP files (e.g. Rebug), however once the framework is installed and ran it gives users the same functionality they were previously used to.

>>> MiraProject v1.0 --- Developer's Release <<<

Thank you to everyone, this is the initial release of Mira for all future developments to continue off of. This was the surprise coming today May 20, 2018 and thank you for all of the contributions! This should be considered a test release for developers only.

Upcoming Releases (RoadMap)

1.1 Beta - No due date
  • 1.1 beta will include the following things:
  • Reloadable/swappable HEN (Homebrew Enabler)
  • Reading/parsing configuration files from usb/filesystem
  • Loading/unloading plugins via USB
  • Linux Loader accessible via RPC to load linux from USB

1.2 Beta - No due date
  • 1.2 Release will include:
  • Userland payload injection into a new process (WIP, crashes somewhere after execution starts running injected code)
  • Global controller hooking (check for button combos to activate/deactivate trainers)
  • Configurable/dynamic trainers (currently options are semi-static in the internal alpha testings)
  • Pulling/dumping HDD keys for use with cryptmount on linux

MiraHEN PS4 4.55 Port by CrazyVoidProgrammer

Following the Developers Release of MiraFW: Project Mira v1.0 by OpenOrbis comes a PS4 4.55 Port by @CrazyVoid (aka CrazyVoidProgrammer) on his Github fork and an ELF and binary compiled by @pearlxcore via Twitter:

I also built the binaries, elf and bin successfully and below is a demonstration video of it running and sniffing for those interested. I also converted bin into js to injected it as a payload thru website.

In the PS4Admin web page (http://ps4admin.retrogamer.tech) I did an update and I added the CFW option menu to inject this MiraHEN.

There is no too much information or any notification when you inject it.

But once you finished you can go to your Windows or Linux and try a "telnet PS4-IP 9998". It means do a telnet connection, again your PS4 IP, and using the port 9998.

Then you should see all of the debugging information from PS4 and also the debug and test messages from MiraHEN. So that means it's working.

PS4 5.05 Kernel Exploit released by @SpecterDev

including Homebrew Payloads !!!

After the first announcement for a Kernel Exploit incoming for System Firmware 5.05, Developer @SpecterDev "has been true to one's word" by releasing the announced Kernel Exploit (PS4 Hack) for System Firmware 5.05 (& 5.07). This is some Great News not because of a newer System Firmware is now exploitable, but it could be a giant stride towards a good evolution for getting more and more Homebrew Applications available - as already previewed before. Those mentioned "Tools" weren't fully released yet by the time of this writing but a full release should be available in a near future. This Release however also includes several Payloads and other useful Patches, as you can check them down below.

PS4 5.05 Kernel Exploit

Summary

In this project you will find a full implementation of the second "bpf" kernel exploit for the PlayStation 4 on 5.05. It will allow you to run arbitrary code as kernel, to allow jailbreaking and kernel-level modifications to the system. This exploit also contains autolaunching code for Mira and Vortex's HEN payload. Subsequent loads will launch the usual payload launcher.

This bug was discovered by qwertyoruiopz, and can be found hosted on his website here. The GitHub Pages site automatically generated from this repository should also work.

 Patches Included

The following patches are made by default in the kernel ROP chain:
  1. Disable kernel write protection
  2. Allow RWX (read-write-execute) memory mapping
  3. Syscall instruction allowed anywhere
  4. Dynamic Resolving (sys_dynlib_dlsym) allowed from any process
  5. Custom system call #11 (kexec()) to execute arbitrary code in kernel mode
  6. Allow unprivileged users to call setuid(0) successfully. Works as a status check, doubles as a privilege escalation.
     Payloads included
    1. Vortex's HEN (Homebrew Enabler)
    2. Mira
     Notes

The page will crash on successful kernel exploitation, this is normal

Android App to Host PS4 5.05 Exploit and Payloads by Stooged

This is an update to my Android app to host the PS4 5.0X exploit and payloads.

This initial release just contains the 3 main payloads.

To use it you have to setup a wifi hotspot with your phone/tablet and connect the PS4 to that hotspot or connect the phone/tablet to the same network the PS4 is on.

Then install the app and open it and at the top will be the address you need to connect to with the PS4.

Your device might ask you about installing an application from "unknown sources" this is ok to allow, it just means its not coming from Google Play.

You just select the payload you want to run in the app and then use the PS4 to goto the address that you see in the app.

To change the payload just select it in the app and then use the ps4 to revisit/refresh the address again.

you can add more payloads to the app you just plug your phone into your computer and copy any payload BIN file you like into the PS4_50X_Payloads directory.

you will get one "There is not enough free system memory" because that's how this exploit works, just click ok and the page should reload and load the selected payload.

PS4 Convert .BIN Into Index.html for 5.05 Exploit and Payloads Guide

I have had a few people asking about converting payloads to .js so I will post this here

With 5.05 we don't need to use payload.js anymore you can just make a single .html file with the exploit and payload in a single file, thank you to @XVortex you will notice this on his PS4 HEN GitHub inside the exploit folder.

I put together this .py file that you can use to convert a .bin into index.html

    - bin2html.zip

    usage:
    bin2html.py [binfile]

    example:
    bin2html.py AppToUsb.bin

PS4 5.05 reactPSPLUS Payload - ReActivate PS Plus Games (Release by Zer0xFF)

Note this is for ONLY PS PLUS Games and not Regular PSN Games

So you have your PS Plus Subscription and well you can't use the games the service offer's because your on firmware 5.05 (exploited PS4 firmware)?. Well, there is now great news there as a solution arises thanks to Zer0xFF as the developer discovered a way to "reset" the timer on the content by tricking the clock by using the new reactPSPLUS payload. The PS Plus subscription requires you to check into PSN from time to time and with an exploited system that is currently not possible. So, this becomes a great solution to regain the goodies from your subscription to PS Plus. Sony states that long as you have an active PS Plus Subscription you will not lose access to your game collection, which as we know is not 100% factual. What they fail to mention is that if you do not update your console to latest firmware and agree to the ever changing Terms of Service's you also lose access to the content EVEN if you are paying for the service. So, hacks like this give power back to the honest user's, Who just enjoy homebrew and system hacks on the hardware they purchased and as well as the content they purchased through various services.

Reactivate PSPLUS Games - PS4 5.05 - Back To The Future PS4 Edition

If you haven't been living under a rock, You've probably heard that about 5.05 kexploit being released few days ago.

And one of the 1st things I checked/backuped on my PS4 is my licenses and, while doing so, I noticed the PS Plus game license were still on PS4 even after my subscription has ended, I figured if we can change the internal clock (aka rtc: real time clock) we could get the games to work again. well last night I did just that, I spent few hours looking at sceSblSrtcSetTime() which seems to have been updated somewhere between 1.76 and 5.05 with few SAMU-side checks to prevent time manipulation, yet Sony left a reset function (which I assume is needed for some internal work), which we can call (which reset the time), then we can call sceSblSrtcSetTime() and set our own time and vola.

    Basic How-To-Run Tutorial

you need a 5.05 console, open http://crack.bargains/505k/ (if you see All Set, close and open the page and it should say Awaiting Payload...) or any other exploit page that also has payload loader.
Send payload with (change 192.168.1.1 to your PS4 IP)

    socat FILE:reactPSPLUS.bin TCP:192.168.1.1:9020

    Notes
the payload would set the internal clock to 2012/2013 and your PS+ games would start working, you wouldn't even need to have HEN enabled to use these games since they're legit games and would work normally like any digital game. if you're not connected to the internet, you will not need to run this exploit again since the time change is permanent. it might be worthwhile dumping your games to make sure you never lose access to them.

    Small Memes
P.S. that sceSblSrtcSetTime(0) would set the time to 1/1/2012 (PS4 epoch time :P) I wonder if it has any signifcant to PS4 development.

How to Properly Dump / Build PS4 Game & Separate Update FPKG

Here is my method of dumping games...

I was asked in another thread for a tutorial on dumping games. Mods are welcome to pin this if they feel it will help establish a standard and for those new to the process...

    1. Obtain disc (or use your legit PSN install) and install on PS4 (wait for it to complete install, you will hear the disc stop spinning)

    2. Find the latest retail update that works on current exploit (5.05 as of this writing)

This step requires a little work. PS4 5.05 OFW was released on March 8, 2018, so any update before that date will work. Google is your friend here. Here are a couple of links for retail updates:

    3. Run HEN payload and install the retail update pkg with package installer in debug settings

    4. Reboot and start Dumper payload (make sure that you are using split=3 option in the dumper.cfg on the root of USB drive)

    5. Start game and get to title screen

    6. Press PS button and wait in system OS for dumping to complete and PS4 to shut down

    7. Move dumped files over to PC

    8. Open CUSAXXXXX-app and CUSAXXXXX-patch folders with gengp4 and build/save gp4 files

    9. Open each gp4 file with orbis-pub-gen from Fake Package Tools and build fpkg files

    10. Run HEN payload and install fpkg base game and separate patch on PS4 with package installer in debug settings.

    11. Enjoy!
