now supporting additional RetroArch-libretro cores with new update

Developer @aldostools has supplied an update to one of the add-on's for webMAN MOD plugin for PS3 (CFW) user's. The PKGLAUNCHER feature which debuted on the project in wMM v1.45.04 allows for launching of RetroArch Roms from the XMB via the pkglauncher tool. With RetroArch making changes to cores names and new cores being supported on the PS3, developer Aldostools decided an update was needed and thus this new build has been rolled out for webMAN MOD user's. This is currently labeled as a test build so if you experience any issues be sure to drop a line in the comments below.

PKGLauncher is an optional Add-on for webMAN MOD Plugin for PS3 Custom Firmware User's

PKG/ROMLauncher

Given the fact that the emulators may have different names due the different versions of RetroArch, I think it will be necessary to update the source code of PKGLAUNCH to make it test if the emulator SELF exists with one of their different names. Also I think recently RetroArch include more emulators cores. Not sure if these new cores work or not.

UPDATE:

I've attached a test build of PKG/ROM Launcher with support for cores from RetroArch 1.7.3 and 1.7.1 Extended.Version.

Note not all cores play well on the PS3 (large majority play at full speed)

Flexible Kernel Dumper Payload for PS4 supporting firmware versions 4.05, 4.55 and 5.05.

Supported Firmwares
  •     4.05
  •     4.55
  •     5.05

Network Mode
Just change this in /include/defines.h to make compatible with your version

i.e
Code:
  #define KERN_VER 455

Compile with your PC's IP listening on port 9023

On PC you can do to listen: socat - tcp-listen:9023 > kernelDump.bin

and to send: socat -u FILE:payload.bin TCP:"PS4 IP":9020
you can then trim out the socket prints or you can adapt it with 2 sockets, one for dumping, another for logging.

To compile you need to use an *** with changes for latest fw support support, i have used https://github.com/xvortex/ps4-payload-***

USB/Filesystem Mode

To dump the kernel image to the filesystem or USB stick either change/keep

Code : #define KERN_FILEPATH "/mnt/usb0/kdump.bin"
..to where ever you choose
and to use the USB method simply comment out this line in /include/defines.h

Code: #define DEBUG_SOCKET

to send it is still: socat -u FILE:payload.bin TCP:"PS4 IP":9020
Have Fun!

Add Keystone GUI is a simple tool to add a keystone file to an existing fake PKG.

Your FPKG must be modifiable

Please note that this tool has just recently been released and may contain bugs. If you encounter an error, send a PM to RoosterTeethForLife.

Known Bugs:

  •  Using a keystone or PKG file with spaces in the path will cause the tool to not work. Ensure that the path to your keystone and/or PKG does not contain spaces. (This will be fixed in an update very soon)

Install Payload to PS4 Offline Cache (ApplicationCache.db)

$

0
The payload contains a basic set of exploits for anyone that just wants a simple set of exploits.. just run the payload then go to http://cache/index.html or the user guide. If you delete the browser data just run the payload again and it will reinstall the basic exploits.

You don't need to disable the network connection so the ftp payload will still work.

The DB_SG_Backup payload also backs up the cache db, if you already have a offline cache setup you can back that up.
if you delete the browser data you can put the ApplicationCache.db file from the backup on the root of a usb drive and reinstall it using this payload.

For anyone that is looking to make their own db file I have included the SQL File to create a db using DB Browser.

Just modify the sql to suit your needs and create a new database in DB Browser called ApplicationCache.db and execute the sql and save.. you can put the ApplicationCache.db on the root of a usb drive and run the install payload to install it.

If you want to modify the payload to contain your version of the db file just encode your db file with base64 and put the data into the ApplicationCache.h file of the source and compile.

PS Vita 3.65, 3.67 & 3.68 Firmware Jailbreak by TheFloW H-encore

$
0
0
For those with a PlayStation Vita handheld console still kicking around, you'll be pleased to know developer TheFloW just released h-encore, a fully chained kernel exploit for PS Vita on Firmware versions 3.65-3.68 which allows the loading of homebrew including HENkaku and the TaiHEN CFW Framework.

Below are the h-encore installation instructions from the README.md, to quote: h-encore

h-encore, where h stands for hacks and homebrews, is the second public jailbreak for the PS Vita™ which supports the newest firmwares 3.65, 3.67 and 3.68. It allows you to make kernel- and user-modifications, change the clock speed, install plugins, run homebrews and much more.

Requirements

  • Your device must be on firmware 3.65, 3.67 or 3.68. Any other is not supported. If you're on a lower firmware, please decide carefully to what firmware you want to update, then search for a trustable guide on /r/vitahacks (if you know how and want to contribute, you can edit this readme and make a pull request, such that fellow readers have got an easier life). Remember that on firmware 3.65 you have got the possibility to install enso, the permanent hack, whereas on 3.67 and 3.68 you don't.
  • If your device is a phat OLED model, you need a Memory Card in order to install. There's no need for a Memory Card on Slim/PS TV models, since they already provide an Internal Storage. Make sure you have got at least 270 MB of free space.
  • Your device must be linked to any PSN account (it doesn't need to be activated though).
Installation

Note that the following guide is for advanced users and a bit more complicated than the previous hack that only required you to visit a website. If you don't understand the guide below or how to use these tools, you should neither file an issue here nor annoy me on twitter, but rather seek help on /r/vitahacks (check for duplicated questions first!) or wait for an easy installer by somebody else.

1 - Download and install qcma, psvimgtools and pkg2zip (check the releases section).

2 - Download the vulnerable DRM-free demo of bitter smile (yes, that's the user entry point).

3 - Download h-encore and extract it on your computer.

4 - Extract the demo using:

Code: pkg2zip -x PATH_OF_PKG

This will output the files to app/PCSG90096.

5  - Copy the contents of the output app/PCSG90096 to the folder h-encore/app/ux0_temp_game_PCSG90096_app_PCSG90096 (such that the files eboot.bin and VITA_PATH.TXT are within the same folder).

6 - Copy the license file app/PCSG90096/sce_sys/package/temp.bin to the folder
h-encore/license/ux0_temp_game_PCSG90096_license_app_PCSG90096 and rename the just pasted file temp.bin to 6488b73b912a753a492e2714e9b38bc7.rif. Again, this file should be in the same folder as VITA_PATH.TXT.

7 - Start qcma and within the qcma settings set the option Use this version for updates to FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date).

8 - Launch Content Manager on your PS Vita and connect it to your computer, where you then need to select PC -> PS Vita System, and after that you select Applications. If you see an error message about System Software, you should simply reboot your device to solve it. This should create a folder at PS Vita/APP/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on your computer (see qcma settings where this folder is), where the folder xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx represents the AID (account ID) that you need to insert here. If the AID is valid, it will yield a key that you can now use to encrypt the demo.

9 - Change directory to the h-encore folder in terminal and use the key to encrypt all folders using:

Code:

psvimg-create -n app -K YOUR_KEY app PCSG90096/app
psvimg-create -n appmeta -K YOUR_KEY appmeta PCSG90096/appmeta
psvimg-create -n license -K YOUR_KEY license PCSG90096/license
psvimg-create -n savedata -K YOUR_KEY savedata PCSG90096/savedata

The folder h-encore/PCSG90096 should then contain sce_sys and all 4 folders from above, and within these folders you should find files called X.psvimg and X.psvmd, where X has the same name as the folder. Backup this folder, since if everything has been done correctly, you don't need to redo all the steps to install it onto another device with the same PSN account.

10 - Copy the folder h-encore/PCSG90096 to PS Vita/APP/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/PCSG90096 and refresh the database under qcma settings.

11 - The h-encore bubble with a size of around 243 MB should now appear in the Content Manager and that's what you finally need to transfer to your PS Vita.

12 - Launch h-encore to exploit your device (if a message about trophies appears, simply click yes). The screen should first flash white, then purple, and finally open a menu called h-encore bootstrap menu where you can download VitaShell and install HENkaku.

13 - Enjoy. Note that you have to relaunch the exploit everytime you reboot or shutdown your device. Of course if you only put your device into standby mode, you don't need to relaunch.

Getting rid of the trophy warning

Since the savedata that I provided is not linked to your account id, launching h-encore would eventually show a warning message about trophies. To get rid of that you must do this on your PS Vita:

1. Enable Unsafe Homebrews under HENkaku Settings in the Settings application to grant VitaShell full permission.
2. Launch VitaShell and navigate to ux0:user/00/savedata/.
3. Press triangle on the folder PCSG90096 and select Open decrypted.
4. Copy system.dat out of the folder and remove the folder ux0:user/savedata/00/PCSG90096.
5. Close VitaShell and launch h-encore (this will now not trigger the exploit anymore, since we've removed the savedata).
6.Close the game after you see the first screen and return back to VitaShell.
7. A fresh folder of PCSG90096 at ux0:user/savedata/00 should have been created.
8. Copy system.dat back to ux0:user/savedata/00/PCSG90096/system.dat where you need to open the PCSG90096 using Open decrypted.
9. Now if you launch h-encore you should not see the trophy warning anymore and exploiting your device is therefore even faster.

FAQ

Exploit

  • "When I launch h-encore, it stays at a white screen." - Due to the nature of the kernel exploit, this can sometimes happen. If it stays white for more than 5 seconds, you can simply close the application which will result in a crash and your device will be rebooted or shutdown after 10 seconds. If it doesn't, hold the power button down for over 30 seconds to force a shutdown. Then try the exploit again. The success rate of the kernel exploit should be at 80%. If I find time I will eventually try to improve the success rate.
  • "When I launch h-encore, it flashes white quickly and then crashes." - Again, this is due to how the kernel exploit works.
  • "I get a C2-12828-1 error when launching h-encore" - This does sometimes (but very rarely) happen. Just retry the exploit.
  • "When I launch h-encore, it launches the bitter smile demo instead." - Your savedata is either corrupted or not installed correctly, please follow the installation guide above to reinstall it.
  • "I have installed a bad plugin and launching h-encore doesn't work anymore, what should I do?" - You can either reset taiHEN config.txt or skip plugins loading by holding the L trigger while exiting the h-encore bootstrap menu.
HENkaku Settings
  • "I don't see all folders in VitaShell." - Launch the Settings application and select HENkaku Settings, then select Enable unsafe homebrews. This will grant you full permission in VitaShell.
  • "I can't find the HENkaku Settings." - Launch the exploit and reset taiHEN config.txt and reinstall HENkaku.
enso/permanent hack
  • "Can I install enso on 3.67 or 3.68?" - Not yet, since molecule's bootloader exploit has been patched there.
  • "Can I install enso on 3.65?" - Yes, you can use h-encore to hack your device and then install the permanent hack using this.
Compatibility
  • "Are Adrenaline/NoNpDrm/Download Enabler supported on 3.65/3.67/3.68?" - Yes, check them in my repositories.
  • "Can I use SD2VITA using this hack?" - Yes, I have made a pull request on gamecard-microsd that fixed the freeze when using it without enso. If you're using an other plugin and it freezes on exitting h-encore bootstrap menu, then there's the trick where you can simply press the PS Button and return back to finish the boot process.
  • "Can I use psvsd using this hack?" - It should, but I'm not sure, as I haven't tested it. If it doesn't, then the driver must be updated, but that's not my task.
  • "Does this work, does that work? Is this compatible, is that compatible?" - I don't know, and it is not my task to update these tools for you, so don't dare and file an issue here.
General
  • "Can I switch the PSN account after having h-encore installed?" - Yes, since the demo is DRM-free it does not depend on your account.
  • "Are there any risks involved in using h-encore?" - No, since it does not modify the OS, but only insert temporary patches into the system.
  • "Can I install it without USB connection?" - You can also connect your PS Vita with your computer using Wi-Fi (there's an option in the Content Manager).

PlayStation 4 developer @DEFAULTDNB made available X-Project PS4 5.05 Exploit Self Host 2.0

If you're reading this then I finally got my ass in gear and got a release out the door!

X-Project (XMB SELF HOST PROJECT) aims to be the AIO customizable tool box for all your payload needs. Something the community can dissect and adapt, improve and contribute to: for the good of everyone!

This project was the evolution of my now discontinued 4.55 self host packs, updating to something for 5.05 which was far more dynamic.

FEATURES:
  • Material styled "XMB" design
  • In page sound/music POC with play/pause toggle (swap it out easily for your own music!)
  • Easy customization (colors, font, sizes, icons, number of categories/payloads)
  • 40+ Payloads:
  • VTXHEN 1.7, Mirahen 1.7, Mira, Bin Loader, Mira+Bin Loader, blocker + ftp, unblocker, blocker EX, unblocker EX, Kexec, EepLinux, Linux, VTXDUMP 1.8, DB_SG, APPTOUSB 3.0, APPTOUSB1, USB FPKGS, Eversion (Kdump), KernelDumper, FS_Dumper, VR_Enabler, VTXFTP, FTP+R/W, ReactPSPlus, UnReactPSPlus, ReactPSPlus Moddable, PS4Trainer, JKPatch, PS4Cheater, PS4API, APII Intense EU 1.27, Lamance, Psyc0s, APII Intense 1.00, WildeMods, Trainer, NotAnotherMenu, ArabicGuy, Lamance 127, COD: ONLINE, VTX+COD: ONLINE, HOST_CACHE, USBCacheInstall, CacheInstall, ApplicationCache & HistoryBlocker!
  • All Payloads up to date as of today!
  • Easily upgradable payloads (or await updates)
  • 10 distinct categories:
  • HEN, BLOCK, LINUX, BACKUP, SYSTEM, TOOLS, CHEATS, MENUS, CACHE, ABOUT.
  • Page within page loaders where possible.
  • AIO VTXHEN 1.7 + Latest version of GTAV Mod Menus (and non HEN version included).
  • AIO VTXHEN 1.7 + BO3 COD: ONLINE (and non HEN version included)
  • Caching from offlinexmb.cache file (NOTE: it's huge: seriously I timed it: it takes 5 full minutes!)
  • Tried and tested browser "stability" through spawned tabs (It just works better!)
CONTROLS:
  • Left Stick: Mouse
  • Left Stick click: Zoom out
  • Right Stick: Scroll
  • Right Stick Click: Zoom in
  • PS button: Minimize browser.
KNOWN QUIRKS:
  • Stick throttle is a little touchy if you accidentally push up/down+direction (possibly more so on DUALSHOCK 4 V2)
  • Some payloads have to spit out an OOM error before it runs, its how Specter built the loader (bin loader or mira for example)
  • VTXHEN+GTAV Mod Menus spits out 1 OOM error before loading, but they work fine :smilexf2:
  • VTXHEN+BO3 COD: ONLINE spits out 2 OOM errors before loading, but works fine :smilexf2:
  • Once any payload is loaded, you must hit the PS button to close the browser, then you can reopen X-Project main page to load the next payload.
  • If you get excessive OOM errors, restart your console, then once at XMB restart it again, to clear the memory.
  • If you get any kernel panic crash, reboot your console, then once at XMB restart it again, to avoid another crash when loading the next payload.
  • For some reason you cannot cache the MP4 video used for sound.
FAQ:

How do I put this on my ESP: You cant, its not designed for ESP devices. It's designed for any other method of self hosting as mentioned in my AIO PS4 EXPLOIT GUIDE.

There are too many payloads: Remove the ones you don't want from index.js, and from the payloads folder (edit .cache too).

My right-analog stick goes crazy: Some pads may have a throttling issues, however its rare. The interface has a knack to it, it may jump if its still loading, and unfortunately I cant swap navigation to the D-PAD or Left Analog stick.... yet.... (PS4 API is in my sights).

I cant load a second payload:Press PS button, and re-enter the web browser between each payload, unless its an AIO where it will load 2 in a row for you. Then press the PS button when loaded. This is a known problem with the web browsers limitations.

I get KP (Kernel Panic): Start up the console: reboot it TWICE, then start from cold boot.

I get OOM errors: If you get more than 3 there is an issue, hold O to close every open tab, PS button back out the browser, reboot, then start from cold boot.

Caching takes so long: It's because you're caching every payload of the X-Project: it will take a few mins! You can always remove payloads from the index.js, and edit the cache down to just what you need.

It's not perfect: Please contribute! Rewrite any parts that can be optimized or adapted and DM or @ mention me to update the main project! I wont be offended, in fact: I want it to be community driven!

I dont like the music: Mute it or change it, it's super simple! Alternatively rename the xproject.html page to index.html to skip it altogether.

If you think somethings missing: please @ mention me and let me know, I will add it in the next update or hot fix!

PS2 Free Memory Card Boot v1.964 Release

A Series of new updates for FMCB since June '18 by sp193

The PS2 Community is still going strong and developer @sp193 continues to make improvements across the board on the PS2, with some of the dev's latest work coming with a series of new updates to Free Memory Card Boot (FMCB), Since June of this year the dev has provided the progress and reports as seen in the thread (in the psx-place forums) and kept us informed. There has been alot of new changes since June and each of those changes can be seen in the "Recent Developments" along with some other details about the project be sure to view all links the dev has provided for additional details about this project if your a new comer to FMCB or the PS2.

What is FMCB?
Free Memory Card Boot (FMCB) is a piece of homebrew software, which is designed to setup your PlayStation 2 console and provides you with means of launching homebrew software, without the need for any extra hardware, modifications to your console or dangerous tricks like the legendary swap trick.

FMCB was originally developed by Neme and Jimmikaelkael, but they have been kind enough to provide me (sp193) with access to its source code, for me to make some improvements to it.

FMCB is installed onto your memory card. While clone/compatible memory cards may work, they are copies of a proprietary memory card, which often means that they aren't perfectly compatible. Please use clones/compatibles at your own risk.

FMCB will not allow you to boot games that you cannot already play. This means no playing of burned and imported discs.

What is FHDB?
Free Harddisk Drive Boot (FHDB) is basically FMCB that gets installed onto the PlayStation 2 console's HDD unit. It does everything like FMCB does, but is meant to be used with the Sony HDDOSD (Browser update v2.00). Patched/modified copies of the HDDOSD may not work, although non-Sony disks are supported by FHDB itself. ***Whether the hacked HDD OSD supports non-Sony disks or not depends on whether it was modified to support non-Sony disks.***

Modifying or getting a pre-modified copy of the HDDOSD is not under this project, which is why that topic will not be discussed here. Like with FMCB, FHDB will not allow you to boot games that you cannot already play. This means no playing of burned and imported discs.

NEW (re-release's) = New changes that were made since the initial releases.

FMCB v1.964: This is mainly for users of the SCPH-10000, SCPH-15000 and SCPH-18000.
FMCB+FHDB:
  • Replaced bad HDDLOAD.IRX (fixed booting of FHDB on SCPH-10000, SCPH-15000 & SCPH-18000).
  • Increased maximum item count to 256, reduced maximum length to 128.
FMCB v1.963 (re-release): There was a logic error within the cache of USBHDFSD, which can cause corruption when the disk is written to. This update addresses that glitch.
Changelog for installer v0.983 (2018/07/04):
    1. NEW- Updated LaunchELF.
    2. NEW - Updated USBHDFSD, to ensure that files can be written and renamed safely.
    3. NEW - Pressing the back button at the keep CNF screen will abort the installation.
      Changelog for FMCB+FHDB v1.963 (2018/07/04):
        1. Fixed inability to boot the DVD player update, by re-addeding the accidentally deleted code.
        2. NEW - Updated USBHDFSD, to ensure that files can be written and renamed safely.
          FMCB + FHDB v1.963:
            1. Fixed inability to boot the DVD player update, by re-addeding the accidentally deleted code.
            2. Updated USBHDFSD.
            3. Updated LaunchELF.

I have attempted to fix the age-old flaw within USBHDFSD that might be responsible for the rare occurrance of filesystem corruption, whenever new files are added (or if files are renamed).

FMCB + FHDB v1.962 Re-released! This update is mainly to replace the previous package, which had a LaunchELF build that had issues with launching some (older) homebrew software.
The replacement LaunchELF build also has the rename operation enabled for all supported devices (memory card, USB mass storage device and the HDD unit). For those of you who have no need to install/update FMCB/FHDB, you can simply grab the new LaunchELF

              FMCB/FHDB v1.962:
                1. Fixed inability to boot DVDs from the browser, by re-addeding the accidentally deleted cleanup code.
                2. Added a call to deinitialize libpad to the FMCB Configurator, for stability after exiting.
                3. Fixed play history being updated twice, when a DVD Video disc is played.
                4. NEW - Updated OSD init code (fix for the mix-up on 06/23). Might not really result in any real benefits though.
                  Installer v0.983:
                    1. Added option to format the HDD unit, if not formatted.
                    2. Updated translation template.
                    3. Rebuilt to have the fixed PFS driver.
                    4. Updated FSCK to v0.961 - fixed checking of PFS partitions.
                    5. Updated LaunchELF.
                    6. Corrected logic error in UI that prevented FHDB from being installed.
                    7. Updated FSCK, to also correct the same logic error within it.
                    8. Updated LaunchELF, to fix the display mode setting problem and the inability to reliably boot ELFs.
                    9. NEW- Updated LaunchELF to fix booting of old software and to enable renaming for supported devices.
                      FMCB v1.962:

Also because I must have accidentally hit the "keep both files button", the previous update did not get overwritten. So there is now probably some confusion over the version number. This shall become the new release, which will hopefully be the last one...

As for how the glitch came about: I changed the DVD Player selection code for v1.96. So while trying to get it to work, I commented out the code that deinitializes the RPC services... so libcdvd was (silently) failing because its semaphores were deleted by the EE kernel, but it couldn't be initialized because it thinks it already was initialized. So the lesson here, is as some old advice goes - there is a risk involved when we comment out code while debugging.

                          FMCB v1.96 Re-released!
                            1. Updated USBHDFSD, for better USB device performance

                            6. NEW! - Re-released with the corrected USBHDFSD and PFS modules.
                              installer

                                2. Updated USBHDFSD module for performance.
                                3. Updated translation template.
                                4. NEW! - re-released with the corrected USBHDFSD and PFS modules.
                                5. NEW! - Updated FSCK to v0.96.
Note: LaunchELF has been updated to use the corrected USBHDFSD and PFS modules as well.

USBHDFSD had issues with writing correctly. Since external homebrew software may use the USBHDFSD module that FMCB/FHDB provides, I have made a new package.
LaunchELF also has its own copies of USBHDFSD and PFS, which have been updated as well.

                                  FMCB v1.96:
                                    1. Updated USBHDFSD, for better USB device performance
                                    2. Updated HDD modules.
                                    3. Updated to build with the latest PS2SDK, for reliability.
                                    4. Corrected logic error in history-updating code.
                                    5. Replaced DVD player booting code, to give the Sony-like behaviour. For compatibility with all DVD players and projects
                                      Installer v0.981
                                        1. UI rework.
                                        2. Updated USBHDFSD module for performance.
                                        3. Updated translation template.

Note: there were a lot of changes made, code-wise. Some changes were even lost in time.

                                          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                          What does FMCB v1.9 offer?

                                          8. Your play history will now be updated (The towers in the background of the "Sony computer entertainment" screen should continue to grow taller and greater in numbers).

Developer @Zar (creator of the ManaGunz Homebrew also) let us know that an update to the PS3 CFW Homebrew utility known as IDPSet has received a new update to version 0.88. Since the previous update coming in Sept. 2015, developer Zar has made new improvements to the utility that introduces expanded IDPS support along with improved CFW support of the "eid_root_key" dumper.

                                          v0.88 (August 14 2018)

                                          •     Add : Support IDPS from latest ps3 models
                                          •     Add : eid_root_key dumper is working on almost every cfw

                                          v0.87 (September 2018)

                                          •     Added : fw independant
                                          •     Added : root key dumper 4.75D (thanks to Joonie who ported it)
                                          •     Added : more message in the log to be more aware of what's going on and also to allow me to know precisly what's causing some 'random' freeze (thanks to your feedbacks ofc)
                                          •     Note :
                                          •         The root key dumper and Converter are not fw indepedant
                                          •         We can't write PSP IDPS in the EID0 without bricking the system.

IDPSet is a tool to make CEX and DEX dump and you can permanently change your console IDPS (NAND and NOR) and change the PSID too. You just have to run IDPSet on your CFW (with eid_root_key and valid idps.bin on the root of your USB key).

It can generate a DEX and CEX dump of the current NOR/NAND that is compatible with the REBUG switch CEX<->DEX function. Easy to use, Windows is not needed!->

Set up instructions - (nodeMCU pyFlasher 3.0)
                                          1.     Download latest from here: https://github.com/marcelstoer/nodemcu-pyflasher/releases
                                          2.     Install, then Run
                                          3.     Plug in your ESP board. You can hold down flash button as you plug it in but its not needed with this program
                                          4.     Choose correct com port, browse location for wherever you put the "bin" files you download from here and select. Firmware_only.bin is just the admin firmware, after installing you can log in and via browser on your device upload any files (self host) you want. Complete.bin installs the firmware AND the KM.Z Exploit (you can always delete the files later and or add to them)
                                          5.     Set baud rate to: 115200, Flashmode to: Dual I/O (DIO), and "yes, wipe all data", then press "flash nodeMCU" this ONLY flashes the main firmware/sketch to the ESP. When its done it will say so. unplug the ESP then plug it to any powered usb source (even the ps4), after plugging it in, press and hold "reset" on the esp for like 3 seconds, let go and wait a few seconds.
                                          6.     Use any wifi device with browser , log into the ESP using credentials at top of this page, then in device's browser type: "http://10.1.1.1/admin.html" without quotes, you should see the admin page of the ESP.
                                          7.     If you uploaded the "complete.bin" go to "main page" and the exploit should load. If you only did firmware, then it will have a plain payloads page loaded until you up load proper files using the file manager.

How to use once fully flashed

                                            1. Plug ESP to ANY usb power sorce (doesn't have to be PS4), go to network, set up internet connect, custom, PS4_KMZ_ESP, password is password , set everything to automatic. Done, go to user guide and the 5.05 exploit's playground main index page should open if you used the "complete.bin" or if you've upload your own self host files proper.

                                            2. After you run Vortex HEN once, your browser will be permanently enabled. I also suggest you run "update blocker". At this point you should reboot ps4.

If after reboot you don't see browser on home screen, go to the "library" section of the ps4 on main screen all the way to the right, look for the browser and start it, close it , it should now be on your home screen from now on.

Also to access the exploit once browser is enabled, just type http://10.1.1.1 (or ANY address) and the browser will always default to your ESP Exploit index page. Of course this is only when the ps4 is connected to the esp via WIFI. You can now bookmark that page

Whenever you run the admin option from the ps4 many options will not function and just kick back errors BUT you can change the "config editor" from the ps4, changes will happen immediately though!

You can access the "admin" of your ESP from any browser as long as that device is connected via wifi to the ESP. You can type 10.1.1.1/admin.html or just 10.1.1.1 (or ANY site) on the browser then pick the Admin panel from the exploit.

When on the PS4 if you are running ADMIN I would suggest BEFORE you run a payload or exploit , that you do it from the MAIN Exploit's Playground Index page and NOT from the Admin's "main page" located in the little upper left window. Exploits should still work fine but it may cause less of a problem that way.

Many thanks to ALL devs involved in all PS4 projects and Stooged and KiiWii in particular!

It is the first Custom Firmware of the 'most famous' ones. Do not trust too much of the unknown CFW that you find around the web, because they may have been built with the MFW tool, which certainly is not the best way to do a CFW.

The CFW FERROX now you know it very well and you also know its developer, our friend @ Alexander Already many have been waiting for it for days, but as you know we need time to test all the features of the Firmware. We have been able to test everything well, but it is always possible that something is missing. For this, if you find any problems do not hesitate to let us know!

                                            Let's get back to us..
The FERROX COBRA 4.83 has arrived at version 1.00 !!
                                            Few news, here they are.

                                            Changelog FERROX COBRA 4.83:

                                            1. Added ps2_netemu.self modified by @kozarov, with improvements to CONFIG files. I have not much deepened the thing as I do not use these files, but I will link the official thread:
                                            2.  Added a Wave as an option in the FERROX Mods Installer. This completes the customization of your PS3, and combines very well with the graphics created by @ MiZiO90 . For more info read the installer description below !!

4.83 OVERFLOW - Dualboot Edition Features:

You can play your disc based games safely on PSN, by dramatically reducing the chances by using this Dualboot Edition as its an OFW with the only change being that it will allow your RETURN to your CFW just by installing CFW PUP over the top. Has been proven to be an effective way (concept originally by habib)

Following the PS4 Remote Package Installer and RPI_GUI release I've made a GUI for Windows. It's portable and only needs the .Net Framework (4.5.2)

For the http server it uses miniweb.exe. It's included in the download. Please try it.

I will add more features later and also implement some error catching.
